What have we actually delivered for some of our clients?

  • Launched the technology start-up phase of the (£630 million) Advanced Manufacturing Park project attracting The Boeing Company/University of Sheffield Advanced Research Manufacturing Centre(AMRC) and several other key technology aerospace companies to relocate their research and manufacturing operations to the park. The AMP in Rotherham is the UK's premier advanced manufacturing technology park and enjoys a global reputation for providing world-class manufacturing technology solutions for industry. Developed the concept and delivered an Innovation Technology Centre (ITC) incubator facility (£9.75 million) to roll out innovative manufacturing processes to small businesses securing public funding approval from the Yorkshire Forward Board of Directors. This facility is fully occupied today with an impressive waiting list of companies who all seek to be surrounded by like-minded entrepreneurs. 
  • Supported the launch of two (2) regional start ups including preparation of financial and strategic plans, selection of premises, hiring staff and delivery of services.
  • Delivered a five year business plan for a castings company in Yorkshire confirming and increasing technology investment and manufacturing capabilities to secure new demanding aerospace customers accustomed to global manufacturing excellence, internal, dependable processes, robust controls and a strong financial base. Actual financial performance against this fixed plan was 131 percent after five years.  
  • As a business partner promoted an existing business delivering cost savings for SMEs on non-core overheads expenses through the introduction of valued expert supply partners capable of delivering significant savings of up to 50%.
  •  As a business partner, participated in the successful launch of a two phase passive cooling solution to surpass the thermal specification limitations of LED lighting products including the selection of the Chinese manufacturing source, installation of production process and quality control, and led product marketing in the UK, France and Belgium.
  •  Represented a US based ply cutting technology company in the UK and led all bid submissions at large aerospace companies such as Dowty, Bombardier and BAE Systems that require cutting equipment for pre preg materials used in the manufacture of composite components in aerospace.
  • Engaged by the Board of Trustees of a local North East Charity to deliver recommendations and a comprehensive plan to comply with the Charities Act, a three (3) year financial plan to avoid insolvency and a review and plan to improve governance.
  • Led the development of a strategic plan for off shore wind for the North East of England for One North East Development Agency including the design and functionality of a business incubation facility to be built at a regional port.
  • Improved the operational and financial results by 10% within 6 months for a $33 million turnover manufacturing client company by developing and delivering several senior management team-building exercises and events; delivered first ever five (5) year business plan prepared by senior management team,
  •  Delivered a ‘ best practice’ structure for key stakeholders for the Oil and Gas sector in the North East for UK Trade and Investment,
  • Developed and delivered a Non Executive Directors scheme for Business Link for the North East, reflecting consultation sessions held with key regional stakeholders, completing a governance review and preparing a comprehensive business plan which was submitted to One North East Development Agency,
  • Delivered a comprehensive proposal and implementation plan to senior management at a manufacturing client company in Gateshead to improve operational and financial results by aligning Engineering, Manufacturing and Marketing and introducing lean manufacturing principles to achieve a higher gross margin, improved key customer satisfaction indices, removed discontinued product lines and focused on continuing process improvement.
  • Led the preparation and delivery of a five year strategic plan for a £4 million turnover US subsidiary manufacturing company to achieve key financial targets and secure higher European market share.
